Returning once more to the temple, you look around, expectantly, to see what has changed. Besides everything being brighter, and even more lively, things seem pretty much the same. The goddess grins, takes your chin in her hand, and turns your head upward. The once dilapidated dome now shines like aether. Coincentric circles revolve around one another, rotating in cycles with epicycles within. Rather than making you dizzy, the torsion draws you in. The light that shines is almost palpable, and it floods the darkness on all sides. The pattern of the floor accentuates and guides the light as it courses all around you. Even the whorling patterns of the tapestries become clear in this light fantastic.
“The time has come to choose your way.” The goddess says, gesturing toward the ways. You notice the way on the left has vanished.
“Sadly, the way of being is closed to you, as you are tainted with non-being. Two ways remain; The way of Not Being, and the Way of Being and Not Being.”
